Mission
Our Roots
Helping single mothers overcome systematic obstacles to help empower and better themselves for them as well as their families. Our goal is to provide community resources that will assist with education, counseling services, and gainful employment.
What We Do
Support
One Step at a Time
At MOMs, we are dedicated to assisting our clients in the areas of eduction, employment, and counseling services . Support is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We understand being a mom is one of the hardest jobs in the world and the more support one has the more successful they can be at being their best! We want our families to feel supported and know there are people rooting for them through this journey. Donations are appreciated as it helps us to reach our goals of aiding our families.
Education
Helping The Community
We understand that life happens. However, we know that it is never to late to pick yourself up, dust off, and try again. With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities to manifest those things that they dream about into a reality. You can do ALL things through Christ whom strengthens you.
“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”
Harriet Tubman
Our Story
Behind the Scenes
MOMs was founded by Monique Wells. Monique is a single mother of four beautiful children. One day while being a stay at home mom, Monique realized she wanted more for her life. She remembered some of of her childhood dreams she had of helping others. At that moment, she knew she had to do something to better her life for her, her kids, and other moms like herself. Monique went back to school at 36 and obtained her bachelors in Behavioral Studies from American Baptist College in 2017. After completing that milestone she still wanted to keep going and received her master’s degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2019. Monique has always had a passion for helping others. As a parent of a special needs son she feels she can relate to women from many backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultures. She understands MOMs number one language is love! She is dedicated to empower women to be better not just for themselves, but for their families as well. She believes it starts with one step at a time!
